Try as I may to rectify my way I realize I don’t recognize the street signs, so it’s a long ride on this road to perdition where only perseverance can bring sustenance.   My mental fortitude and dexterity is constantly under attack by the subversive.

Rallying my comrades is futile for my cohorts are betrayers of the foulest sort who only wish to force me to the brink of destruction.  But I’ve been here before toeing the line of oblivion, walking the precipice of destruction finding solace only in the warm blanket of revenge pleading a solemn vow of retribution.  Retort of the vilest kind my mind births self-gratification to stroke my ego and moral my courage and boost my zeal.  The scales of justice are truly blind so I will be judicator on the battle field.

As my flesh grazes the surface of the cold waters of death through its reflection my eyes gaze upon my body being riddled with bullets as I catch this glimpse of my demise I shall not fret nor have any regrets because life as I know didn’t come with a reset.

I see a heart so pure

just the thought of you fills my soul

with joy unlike no other

an embrace filled with tenderness

a kiss so delicate and soothing

letting go of grief and sorrow
